Kenton Apparatus Limited has successfully delivered a fully customised programmable industrial drying oven to a customer in the United States.
Customer requirements were as follows:
Internal dimensions: 1300 × 1300 × 700 mm (height, width, depth). Flat bottom with insulation underneath and a ramp for the work carts, designed according to the provided drawings.
Materials: The cavity of the oven is made of 304 mirror-polished stainless steel, 1.0 mm thick. The exterior housing is powder-coated steel, also 1.0 mm thick.
Two work carts: Each cart has ten tiers and holds ten shelves measuring 1185 × 575 mm. Shelf spacing is 9 cm. Each cart uses high-temperature casters rated to 250°C. Cart material is 304 stainless steel.
Shelves: 304 mirror-polished stainless steel, 1.0 mm thick, with 5 mm perforations. Each shelf supports 10 to 20 kg. A total of twenty shelves is supplied.
Insulation: 80 mm aluminum silicate insulation.
Doors: Two viewing windows above the door area and black door handles. Final dimensions follow the drawings.
Airflow design: Air inlet with filter, two exhaust fans installed at the top for rapid cooling.
Temperature and power: Temperature range RT + 5°C to 300°C. Programmable touchscreen controller. Motor rated at 750 W. Total power approximately 14 to 16 kW, depending on final design. Voltage follows US three phase 220 to 240 V. Supplied with a 3 meter power cable.
Heat to 250°C. Once the temperature is reached, open the door and load the cart. Reheat to 250°C and hold for 30 minutes. When time is up, the two exhaust fans activate automatically. The door remains closed during cooling. When the chamber cools to 80°C, the machine automatically shuts down or cuts power, the fans stop, and the alarm light activates.
Heat to 200°C. Once the temperature is reached, open the door and load the cart. Reheat to 200°C and hold for 30 minutes. After the hold, the exhaust fans start automatically. The door stays closed during cooling. When the temperature falls to 80°C, the machine shuts off or powers down, the fans stop, and the alarm light activates.
Heat to 200°C. Once the temperature is reached, open the door and load the cart. Reheat to 180°C and hold for 60 minutes. After the hold, the exhaust fans start automatically. The door remains closed during cooling. Once the temperature reaches 80°C, the machine shuts off or powers down, the fans stop, and the alarm light activates.
