Differences Between the 303 Series and DNP Series Electric Incubators

Electric incubators are essential pieces of laboratory equipment. The 303 Series is a basic and widely used model with a temperature range of ambient temperature +5°C to 65°C. Its functions are relatively straightforward.

Using Kenton’s 303 Electric Heating Incubator as an example, the 303-0 model is equipped with an analogue temperature controller, while models marked with “A” feature a digital display. The improved 303-AS Series was later introduced with an air circulation system and a redesigned cavity heating structure. Instead of the traditional bottom-only heating method, carbon-fibre heating film replaces conventional heating wires, providing more uniform heating and improved durability. The controller also includes additional functions such as timing and over-temperature alarms.

As laboratory requirements have continued to develop, users have increasingly demanded greater temperature-control accuracy, enhanced functionality, and improved materials. Based on the original 303 Series, Kenton developed the DNP Series with a completely redesigned structure and appearance, making it better suited to advanced laboratory applications.

The DNP Lab Constant Temperature Incubator features a higher-precision LCD controller integrated with the door handle, creating a clean and modern appearance. It is also equipped with a maintenance-free cooling fan and a stainless steel cavity with rounded corners for easy cleaning. Carbon-fibre heating film and cavity preheating technology provide improved temperature uniformity and reduced temperature fluctuation.
