For drying, preheating, and low-temperature heat treatment of heavy workpieces, moulds, or batch metal parts, Kenton Apparatus Limited has recently designed and delivered a customised industrial oven based on the customer’s special requirements. This solution focuses on solving three key production needs: large working space, high load-bearing capacity, and easy loading and unloading.
1. Cavity Material
Effective chamber size (H × W × D): 2100 × 1200 × 1350 mm
Effective volume: approximately 3.4 m³
Cavity material: thickened galvanised steel plate
The oven uses a thickened galvanised cavity and a reinforced frame structure with channel steel. It provides basic rust resistance and heat resistance, making it suitable for regular drying, dehumidifying, or preheating under non-corrosive working conditions. Compared with a stainless steel structure, this design helps reduce material costs and is suitable for industrial applications where there are no special cleanliness requirements.
2. Load-Bearing Capacity and Structural Reinforcement
Rated bottom load capacity: 600 kg
Structural reinforcement: the bottom plate is thickened and reinforced with I-beam/channel steel to ensure long-term heavy-load use without deformation.
This oven is designed without shelves, leaving the chamber as a fully open internal space. Users can flexibly arrange loading tools according to the shape of their workpieces, such as long shafts, mould blocks, or material baskets. This avoids the space limitations caused by fixed shelves.
3. Loading and Unloading Assistance
Each oven is equipped with a movable ramp.
Purpose: The ramp works with a manual forklift, pallet truck, or wheeled trolley to allow heavy workpieces to be pushed directly into the oven.
The ramp features an anti-slip design and a gentle incline, solving the difficulty of lifting large and heavy items into the chamber. It also significantly reduces manual handling effort and the risk of collision or damage.
4. Door Opening Design and Electrical Parameters
Door structure: double-door design. When opened, the front of the chamber is fully accessible, making it easier for large workpieces to move in and out horizontally.
Power supply: 380V three-phase
Temperature range: ambient temperature +5°C to 250°C
Temperature control: standard PID control with over-temperature protection.
